We wanted to raise awareness around an issue when trying to install and license Maya
2012 from your Maya Entertainment Creation Suite 2012, you will get the following error:
The request code you entered is not valid. Try again (Error 3)
To get around this issue you will need to install Mudbox 2012 in the Suite first. Mudbox 2012 will install the correct MYECS201200F_TL_Adlm.asr file required for licensing the Suite. This will allow you to register the other products in the Maya Entertainment Suite.
The Maya 2012 installation in the Maya Entertainment Suite 2012 does not have the correct MYECS201200F_TL_Adlm.asr file and this should be resolved in a future hotfix.
More info is available in the Autodesk knowledge base article.

I'm wondering: Has anyone ever encountered a licensing related error message that was actually helpful or even correct since Autodesk switched Maya to AdLM?
