Project Twitch is something exciting that we're previewing on Autodesk Labs: Maya in a web browser.
What's exciting about that? Well, first off, this is a way that you can try Maya out without the hassle of downloading and installing the software.
Beyond that, this opens up ways that you may use software in the future:
What if you only needed to use some software for a few days?
What if you needed to let others use your proprietary pipeline tools and didn't want to let the tools leave your control?
What if you were away from work and an emergency came up that required you to login and do some work?
These are just some ideas. We would love to hear what you think about them and Project Twitch.

@Scott: Silverlight or a custom plugin? Just curious.

Ash: Thanks for helping spread the word. We want people to try it and let us know what they think at labs.trials@autodesk.com.
Jimmy: Yes the technology preview is Windows only at this point. The client piece that compresses/decompresses the video/user input is Windows-based. We hope to expand to other platforms in the future., It made no sense to do this right off the bat since Windows users may have hated the whole idea based on internet latency.
