If you're looking to open the Expression Editor from within the Channel Box, you will find that in Maya 2009 it is no longer listed in the menu that appears when you RMB over a highlighted attribute.
In Maya 2009, the link to the Expression Editor is located in the Channel Box > Edit menu.
You can invoke the Expression Editor from the Channel Box in one of two ways:
- Edit > Expressions
- CTRL + right mouse button (RMB)
If the menu item Expressions appears greyed out, make sure you have highlighted the attribute name in the Channel Box. The Expressions item will then be available through the Edit menu or the hotkey combination (CTRL+RMB).

The same applies for Set Driven Key. You'll find it in the Channel Box > Edit menu.
